All resharpening is done on the same machines used to grind new knives and all knives are reground to new knife tolerances. Only soft wheels are used to prevent edge cracking or heat checking. If we cannot properly regrind any knife or feel it cannot be ground as specified, it will be returned immediately with a call or letter of explanation.

To avoid any confusion, when sending in knives for resharpening:

• Make sure your company name and purchase order number is on the box and/or a packing slip is enclosed. 
• Note on PO any specification regarding straightness, flatness or edge condition. Note whether knives must be ground in sets and the number of pieces per set. We will wire or package each set separately. 
• Note whether all nicks must be ground out. While paper trimmers and metal shear blades must be absolutely sharp, many types of knives, such as brush chippers, scrap choppers and scrap shears, can function well even with a few large nicks, allowing the knife many more regrinds. 
• Call ahead when your knives are needed in less than 24 hours. This will allow us to prepare our scheduling to avoid any slip-ups.
